🏃 LandRush — Privacy Policy

LandRush ("we", "our", "the app") is a location-based territory game. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo URL. If you sign in with email/password, we store only your email.

Location data — While you are actively tracking a session (walking, running, or biking), we record your GPS coordinates to draw your path and calculate territory claims. We also record location in the background if you leave the app during an active session. We do not track your location when you are not in an active session.

Profile information — Username, avatar, color, bio, and optional social links (Instagram, Strava) that you choose to provide.

Game data — Territories claimed, activities completed, rush coins, achievements, cosmetic purchases, challenge results, clan membership, and friend connections.

Purchase information — We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. We do not store your payment card details. RevenueCat receives transaction data from Google Play or the App Store.

Device information — We collect a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to send you push notifications. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the game experience — tracking movement, claiming territory, displaying the shared map
To show your public profile to other players (if you enable it)
To process in-app purchases and manage your subscription
To send push notifications (friend requests, clan invites, challenge results)
To show ads to free users via Google AdMob
To detect and prevent abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, hosting, push notifications
Supabase (PostgreSQL) — database hosting
RevenueCat — in-app purchase processing
Google AdMob — ads shown to free users (AdMob may use device advertising ID)

4. Location Data

GPS data is only collected during active tracking sessions that you explicitly start. Background location is used only while a session is active, so your route is recorded even if you switch apps. When you stop a session, location tracking stops immediately.

Your territory boundaries (polygon outlines) are visible to all players on the shared map. Your raw GPS path is not shared with other players.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is kept as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, territories, and activity history within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained.

6. Children's Privacy

LandRush is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You can:

View and edit your profile information at any time
Toggle your profile between public and private
Request deletion of your account by contacting us

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all data transmission, Firebase Authentication for identity management, and parameterized database queries to prevent injection attacks. Access to production systems is restricted.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
